Christmas, perhaps more than any season of the year, brings out a wide variety of emotions. Many, if not most, of these emotions are positive and good, but Christmas can have its difficult side as well. Join Rev. Fletcher as we discuss the Emotions of Christmas on this First Sunday of Advent.

Jesus tells a few parables describing what God is like. But he is also describing what humanity is like and our desire for our own sense of "fairness." In the second part of the parable of the lost son, Jesus reveals for us a blueprint on how we can avoid judging others and how we can live lives of gratitude.

There is a parade of people traveling with Jesus as he is heading to Jerusalem. Jesus stops and confronts them, reminding them of the cost of becoming one of his disciples. Join Pastor Greg as he explains how Jesus challenges us to become disciples in our day.

Jesus is invited to the home of a prominent religious leader for a meal, where he notices the guests scrambling for the seats of honor. In a striking reversal of social expectations, Jesus teaches that true greatness in God's Kingdom comes through another way.

Jesus has just been teaching about repentance, judgment, and the Kingdom of God. He's calling people to urgently turn to God. A person in the crowd asks Jesus a question, wondering who actually gets saved. Join Pastor Greg as he shares what this passages says about salvation and how we can "make every effort" in our relationship with God.
