That Wonderful Mute Button!

The Fourth Sunday of Advent:  Love

Luke 1:57-80

At the end of chapter one, Luke wraps up his introduction to the birth of Jesus. Elizabeth and Zechariah's son, who will be the "opening act" to Jesus' ministry is born. After his 9-month, God-imposed time of silence, in joy and happiness Zechariah bursts forth with song at the birth of his son. Join Pastor Greg as he shares what Zechariah learned from his time of not being able to speak and how we may employ a MUTE button in our own lives.

Jesus was not merely a gifted teacher or a charismatic religious figure. He came with a clear, intentional, multi-faceted mission. If we fail to understand His mission, we risk misinterpreting His life, His death, and even His resurrection--and when our expectations are misplaced, the result is often confusion, disappointment, and a lingering sense of emptiness. Join Pastor Greg as he shares the mission of Jesus and how that still informs our life today.

For many people, Easter is simply a celebration of Jesus coming out of the tomb--but the Resurrection is far more than a moment to remember. It is the most significant event in history, the turning point that changes everything about our faith, our future, and our relationship with Christ. Join Pastor Greg over the next few weeks as he looks more deeply at what the Resurrection truly means and why it still transforms our lives today.

Across the pages of the Gospels, the resurrection of Jesus catches everyone off guard. Though many of us know the story well, take a moment to experience it again with fresh eyes. Join Pastor Greg as shares how the resurrection surprises us with a number of blessings for our life, even today.

From Fickle to Faithful. This week we will examine the crowd that surrounded Jesus on the day of his triumphal entry into Jerusalem and reflect how they must have been feeling at the end of the week when Jesus was crucified. Join Pastor Greg as he shares how the wilderness helps to form our faith so that we might be prepared for anything and grow into faithfulness instead of becoming fickle.

On this fifth Sunday in Lent we examine how the wilderness is not only an escape from the world but it is a place where we can learn humility. In a world where worth is measured by likes, platforms, and the dream of going viral--Jesus points us to a different truth. Join Pastor Greg as he shares how real success is found in service, not celebrity and how we can cultivate a heart of humility.

On this fourth Sunday in Lent we examine how the wilderness is not only an escape from the world but it is a place where revelation occurs and wisdom is taught. Join Pastor Greg as he shares from the scriptures the different types of wisdom, why wisdom is essential for a flourishing life and how to acquire the kind of wisdom Jesus talks about.
