Luke 10.1-16
Jesus has laid down the qualifications of those who with to follow him (Luke 9.23) and warned them about distractions to discipleship (9.57-62). As he sets out for Jerusalem and his impending death, he recruits several disciples to go out ahead of him and gives them instructions to prepare the people for his coming.
