Lent 3: Good Medicine

Jesus gathers his disciples around and gives them some good news...then he delivers some bad news....which in reality turns out to be good news. Join Pastor Greg as he shares the characteristics of discipleship which Jesus calls us to and how that is actually wonderful news.

"Now it's your turn." Jesus gives his disciples instructions and prepares them to go out in the surrounding villages to proclaim the Kingdom of God and heal people. A man seeks down Jesus to come and heal his daughter. While they are on the way to the man's house, he receives the tragic news that he shouldn't bother the teacher anymore, for his daughter has died. But Jesus tells the man, "don't be afraid, just believe, and your daughter will be healed." Join Pastor Greg as he shares from this passage that Jesus wants us to "bother" him and how that will benefit us.

Jesus is interrupted on a healing mission by a ritually unclean woman who "sneaks" up behind Jesus and touches his cloak. Jesus confronts her and listens to her story and highlights her remarkable faith. Join Pastor Greg as he shares how there are certain aspects of this woman's faith which can help our own faith to mature.
