Listen to his sermons here.

Alison is our Director of Student and Family Ministries.   Ali was raised locally in Palmyra and attended Fluvanna County Schools. Her two sisters and their mother, Ginny Fields,   began attending Beaver Dam Baptist when Ali was eight years old.  It was at Beaver Dam that Ali took part in the youth program which inspired her to further pursue her life in Christ.   Ali graduated from the University of Virginia with a B.A. Psychology. During her time at UVA, Ali married Brock Marks and had her first son, Gunner. Two years later, she had her son, Uriah. She enjoys spending time with her family in the great outdoors.  Ali

served as youth pastor at St.-Andrew's-by-the-Sea UMC in San Clemente, CA in 2009 and then at Oakland Baptist Church in Gum Spring, VA from 2010 to 2015.  Ali has a passion for working with youth and considers herself immensely blessed to do so.

Sharon has been our Administrative Assistant since 2014.  She grew up locally and holds degrees from Virginia Tech.  Sharon has been an engineer, an agricultural researcher, a preschool teacher, an elementary school tutor, and a full-time mom.  She and her husband, David, have been married since 1994.  They have two amazing kids, Josiah and Grace Hannah. Their family is actively involved in another local church where Sharon and David serve primarily in the areas of youth ministry, discipleship, and administration.  Sharon enjoys being a part of two dynamic church bodies and helping each reach out in the name of Christ.
